The IET Brunei Network had a Networking
Evening on 31 July 2009, in which the
Vice-Chairman, Simon K A Leong presented
on the IET and what engineers can
benefit from membership of the
institution. Simon touched on
professional registration and its
process. He also presented on the many
activities and events from previous
years of the Brunei Darussalam Network
and future events. The network is one of
the active engineering institutions in
the country.
The event was attended by 40 persons
comprising of new IET members, previous
IET Prize winners, technical students,
IET Brunei committee members, invited
guests from the Ministry of Education,
Public Works Department and E-Government
Centre. The evening was a success with
some students expressing their desire to
join the IET and present IET members
encouraged to go for their professional
registration of CEng.
